Description
This Histotechnologist Position Features: ? No weekends or Holidays: Hours 6am-3pm * A great Georgia location ? An outstanding hospital ? An excellent career opportunity ? As a Histotechnologist for this well-known, dynamic Healthcare Services company, you responsibilities will be : * Organizing, processing, cutting, staining, and preparing tissues for microscopic evaluation * Ensuring the organization of gross specimens and the accurate processing in staining of tissue section is completed * Following assigned work detail by efficiently prioritizing work load * Performs special stains, including controls, longs in results of controls * Must have the experience to troubleshoot/resolve processor problems * Must have quality skills in cutting, staining and embedding of tissue samples * Documentation of corrective action when necessary * Is accurate in daily billing counts and recording Quality Control * Performs accurate labeling and filing of slides and blocks * Keeps Gross Room and Histology stocked, cleaned and free of safety hazards * Communicates with Lab & Medical personnel in resolving problems, promoting harmonious relationships between hospital departments and coordinating services rendered by the lab * Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system and uses the system to report potential safety issues * Is willing & able to be available (on-call) during the weekend (Friday- Monday morning) to fix/repair any instrument malfunction in the Histology Department * Must have at least 1 full year experience on the job before being eligible for on call We are an equal employment opportunity employer.df-hm
